Haiti Medical Mission

Donation protected
We have the opportunity to go on a medical missions trip to Haiti and we need your help getting there! As you know Haiti has a variety of needs. Many of the Haitian people do not see hope for the future. They struggle meeting their daily needs. Many of the needs that we take for granted, such as food, shelter and water. Therefore that struggle has made it hard for them to be hopeful for the future.
We'll be heading to Thomassique, Haiti and go out each day to villages in the area that have no healthcare. While at each village we set up a personal care station where we teach the importance of taking the medication we give out and how to prevent spreading diseases. Another station is we talk with the Haitians about the the love of God and hope to enrich their lives with meaning and spiritual guidance. We have several nurses and health care professionals with us that met with everyone individually to see how we can help them with their medial needs. We will be building relationships with the people and showing them the love we have to give for them.
Here are a few facts about Haiti :

*Haiti - the poorest nation in the western hemisphere.
*Land size - about the size of the state of Maryland.
* Population - 7.6 million. Most Haitian people live on the margin of social life in inhumane conditions.
*Historically, the first black republic to gain independence in November of 1803. The Haitians fought against the greatest French army of Napoleon Bonaparte. After the decisive battle of Vertieres, Henri Christopher erected the impregnable fortress, La Citadelle, atop 3100 feet to symbolize the highest aspirations of hope and liberty of the newborn nation.
*Culturally, almost every Haitian shares some form of beliefs. The major religions are Catholicism, Protestantism, and Voodoo.
*Politically, after two centuries of existence, the Haitian nation is still unstable. Within the last two decades, a brand new constitution for our citizens to live by was written. We have elected more than a dozen governments into office and the country has only changed for the worse.

We want to thank you for your love and support for us on this life changing heartfelt adventure!!
