FFI: Busses Go Viral!

Hello! I'm Anna Qian from Tennessee, and I became a part of FFI in 2022. All members of FFI start a social action project because it allows us to apply everything we've learned to our own communities and make a difference! Currently, I'm fundraising for editing applications to improve the social media posts I'm planning to create on Tiktok and Instagram platforms. This is because we Nashvillians love our cars, which unfortunately creates many barriers to taking public transportation, the main three being stigma, awareness, and access. Because these barriers prevent people from utilizing public transportation, Nashville suffers from high traffic and pollution levels. In fact, the traffic is so bad that Nashville ranks 21st in traffic congestion out of all 19,495 cities in the United States. I hope to educate people, break down stigma, and raise awareness about public transportation using social media platforms such as Tiktok and Instagram.

I plan for this project to last throughout the school year (present-May 2023) and restart in August 2023. This fundraiser will go towards Canva Pro and After Effects to last until the end of the 2022-2023 school year.

Note: I am working with the nonprofit Friends Forever International, who facilitates the funding process. All proceeds will go directly to the project!
