Jameson's Army

Jameson Joseph Benedict was born on April 21st 2013 at 34 weeks gestation weighing 4lbs 9oz and 17 1/4 inches long. Jameson was born with limited brain tissue, no dilation of pupils with concern of loss of vision and duodenal atresia(parts of the stomach not attached). A tube was inserted in his nose to drain stomach fluid out and he was put on oxygen. Jameson underwent xrays, ultrasound, contrast studies and an MRI. His stomach was the main concern because he was not able to eat. He went into surgery on April 25th to fix the stomach issues where they found his bowels were twisted, narrow and there was very little blood flow. The surgeon did his best to put everything in the correct spots and hoped that with time his little body would heal and begin working. He still is waiting and fighting to be strong enough to have a permanent feeding tube inserted. Now having been in the Crouse Hospital NICU for over 90 days , Jameson's mommy and daddy are doing their best to keep life as normal as possible for big brother Nolan, but between splitting time between the hospital, home and work, their minds could be more at ease without having to worry about their finances.
