Website for Sexual Assault Disclosures and Support

Donation protected

October 15th will be 3 years since #metoo went viral across the United States and Canada. Indigenous communities were hesitant to take part in this movement for a number of reasons and challenges.

Over the last two months, a number of young women and girls have begun to step forward to share their stories, disclose and speak up about their experiences with sexual assault, violence, rape and harassment.  Very little has been done to support and there are no protocols or processes in place to support individuals who come forward. Many Indigenous peoples and communities have very little faith in coming forward to leadership and authorities.

We would like to create an online space for those looking for support, wanting to disclose in a supportive atmosphere and provide healing tools for individuals who visit with interactive pages, links to videos and trainings and seminars and connection to people willing to chat and support.

We are hosting a number of sessions with individuals over the next two months to talk about supports, protocols, and agreements we can make within communities, our nations and between our nations to support those who want to come forward.

Thank you you for your support!
