Autism Therapy Dog
Donation protected
Autism affects 1 in 88 children. The rate for girls is lower than in boys, 1 in 252.
Our daughter Eve was diagnosed with PDD-NOS in September 2012. Our journey with autism didn't start then, we saw red flags from an early age. We are very grateful for the opportunity to have had such an amazing early intervention team to help us along the way. We are confident, without her EI team, their expertise and amazing love for children with developmental disabilities Eve would not be where she is today.
God opened the door for Eve to be apart of our family, through the gift of adoption. We were blessed to bring Eve home from the hospital at 3 days old in March of 2005. God has used her to teach us so much in the eight years of her life.
While Eve is considered "high functioning" she still has her struggles. We know the benefits animals have on Eve. She is in her second year at horse camp and loves every minute of it.
We are excited to be starting the process of raising funds for a therapy dog for Eve. We are confident the benefits of having a canine companion at her side everyday will help Eve continue to grow and learn right where she is.
We want to thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering walking this journey with us.
