My name is Jessica and I have Lyme disease. I was recently diagnosed, but it is believed I was infected around 2008.
Because most Lyme literate doctors do not take insurance, and many treatments are not covered by insurance I need help with my treatment costs. For the first time in my life I am unable to work due to the pain this disease causes. My husband works to make enough to pay our bills and get by, we even have insurance, but we do not have the financial means to get proper treatment and all the testing, herbs, and supplements that are out of pocket expenses...NOT covered by insurance. Most Americans spend over $30,000 on treatment for Lyme disease. I have not been able to go to a Lyme literate physician to get a prognosis, which is why I am asking for help. The money donated is solely for the purpose of getting the necessary testing and treatment from a Lyme literate doctor. Any donation will help, and updates will be provided along the way.
Lyme disease can be a tragedy for many families. For me I have 4 children who need me, and I am not able to give them all the attention they deserve because I am often too sick. My goal is to get treatment and get back to work so I can try to continue with my life. I have struggled through some tough times with this disease, and it's time to take action and kill this infection.
