Help for Heather

Heather was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and had her first surgery on Feb. 14, 2017.  Following this surgery, she was given aggressive chemo treatments which basically attacked her body and an infection lead to over 3 weeks in intensive care and several months recovering.  She was finally able to return to work in September of 2017.  Loss of work has affected her family financially as well as accumulating medical bills.  Follow-up scans a year later indicated the cancer to have metastasized in her kidney, uterus, and psoas muscle and was a stage 4.  Heather and her husband Jeremiah have an 11 year old son, Hunter and she, in addition to working full time, also assists in taking care of her mother who is disabled and wheelchair bound.  On April 3, 2018 she will be facing major surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital to remove the tumors and begin another form of chemo.  The surgery is extensive and she will be in the hospital for up to two weeks.  Her health insurance is already denying the length of stay and chemo treatment which are both vital to her recovery.  The total recovery from the surgery and follow-up chemo could take at least another six months.    Heather is a precious, loving and giving person and her life is depending on this surgery and follow-up care.  Loss of work and mounting hospital bills have and will continue to put a great burden on this family.  If you can find it in your heart to help with the situation financially it would be very much appreciated.  If you cannot give, please lift Heather and her family in prayer.  Thank you.  (Created by Heather's Aunt Nancy)
