Carlos Battles ALS - We Need A Van

Dear Go Fund Me Friends... I am out reaching to you with the hopes that you can make a dream come true... My beloved brother-in-law Carlos is suffering from ALS or more commonly known as Lou Gehrig Disease (for more info go to www.alsa.org/about-als/what-is-als.html). We are in year two of this devastating disease. In this short time frame Carlos has become completely immobile and he is no longer able to speak. He relies 100% on my sister Ceci for care 24 hours 7 days a week. It is important that you know that they have a true love story, one that began in 33 years ago. Carlos was just 14 when he met his future bride Ceci (who was only 13) they are best friends, lovers, yin and yang. From their love came two beautiful children Emi (17) and Eli (15). As a family they have been fighting this devastating disease.
You must also know that before this devastating disease took over his life, Carlos was the most active, loving father and husband. Every moment that he could he devoted to his family, taking them places, trying out new thing and living life to its fullest. This has been the most difficult part of their lives, the fact that no longer can they just get up and go. In order for them to become mobile Ceci needs to rent a wheelchair access van (which easily cost over $250 per day) or call for transportation (draw back is that only Ceci and Carlos can go, and not the children). By helping them get a van, they will be mobile once again. Help us raise $40K to purchase for them a full-size van (one that can accommodate his special needs wheelchair).
