Sometimes, life has a way of piling on just one twist or turn too many. Dominic, the guy who spends his time teaching others about laughter and working together, or focusing on the strength of his faith not just for himself but for anyone around him, has just found himself in that position.
Dominic has been in search of gainful employment for a while. And although he has been a staple at ComedySportz Improv Theatre as a teacher throughout this year, the income from that position is simply not enough to meet his full time needs.
Just as Dom is ramping up to start a new job secured by his temp agency that will set him up as full-time employed with a salary that is very much needed, Dom has found that the difficult issues of managing debt in the meantime have finally caught up with him. On the morning of Thursday, June 20, Dom's car was repossessed. In order to get it back, he has to get current with payments AND pay the repo fee. And the longer it sits in repossession, the more money is added - $25 per day just to have it sit on a lot.
The kicker is this - Dom needs the car to successfully start his new job next week. So just as he was set to straighten out his finances, he is now faced with a challenge that threatens that road to recovery.
That's where we come in. His friends, his family, his community. No one person can take care of everything Dom needs. But maybe as a community we can all pool together and help solve this crisis. For our friend, for our brother. He spends so much time doing good for us, as he knows God has called him to do. Let's see if we can return just a little bit of that good.
The costs add up. We've set the goal at $1500 here - a bit more than is immediately needed, but not by much. Anything you can pitch in can quickly build with the love from others to get him there. Let's let him know we've got his back.
