Tragic House Fire, Our Family Lost Everything
Donation protected
On 5/11/19 in the early afternoon I found myself evacuating my mother-in-law(Lydia), my 5 month old son(Joshua), our Black Lab Xena and our Puggle Maximus from our new home that we just moved into 2 weeks ago, with just the clothes on our backs. As I was running back in side to try and extinguish some of the fire all I could think about was how The Mercado Family blessed us by renting us their beautiful home while they were being relocated to Texas and that I cannot let the home they worked so hard for burn down. Thank you to the Saddle Brook Fire and Police Department for their quick response.
Once the craziness of the day was over we were informed that we cannot live in this beautiful home as it was not fit for human occupancy until further notice. In the blink of an eye we lost our home, our safe place as well as our belongings, things that we took for granted is now unusable. We have to start from scratch and that is a overwhelming thought.
We are asking our friends and family to help us during the difficult time by donating to help us with shelter, food and basic necessities until we can get back on our feet and rebuild our life.
Any and all donations are appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity.
