Billy Stack Baseball in the Solomon Is.

Hi! Last summer I had the opportunity to visit a very special place in our country's history The Solomon Islands.  My great uncle, Billy Stack died there during World War II. I was able to visit and learn about our country's past as well as teach our country's national past-time. My Aunt Eileen, cousin Aaron and I introduced baseball 
to some and although we had to remind them not to kick it, they loved it. You can read the Press Democrat article that followed our visit. I personally will never forget the hospitality shown. It has made me want to go back and continue what was started thanks to many contributions of gear from local supporters and leagues.



This summer I hope to go back with more equipment, a Stack baseball coach and at least two players to continue to show these talented hard working young men how the game is played and foster the great relationships we have developed.

By donating to this very worthy opportunity, it will generate great development in building the love of baseball in the Solomon Islands and give back to an important ally during WWII. Our family is deeply connected to the Islands as that is where my great Uncle Billy's ship rests and we will appreciate all of your support and donations.

Any gift is helpful. We hope to leave the islands with equipment and knowledge that will continue through the years. All donations will be given to the William Moore Stack Foundation to help develop the program and move forward.
