Rallying for Vanessa!
Hello friends! I am humbly asking for your help. My best friend of 20 years has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor located in a real nasty spot, and understandably, her life has been turned upside down. She is a young, married Mama to a beautiful 6 year old boy, a second Mama to my 4 year old daughter and the most loyal friend anyone could ever ask for. A true heart of gold! We just love this girl to the moon and back. She has been unable to work for some time, and the last thing that a sick Mother should have to worry about right now is the state of her family's finances and the impending crisis from the loss of much needed income. As we all know, life (and bills) carries on whether our world is crumbling around us or not. Believe me, the bills are rolling in and I have witnessed the added stress that have accompanied them. They have made an already desperate situation worse.
Vanessa is scheduled for an awake craniotomy on Monday June 24th. Enduring a very scary surgery and possibly weeks to months of radiation is plenty to have to deal with right now. And of course making a full recovery back to the Vanessa so many of us know and love! As her long time friend, I have felt helpless as to how to make this situation any better for her, as have the rest of her countless friends and family. I am hopeful that we can all come together and help to lift a part of this terrible burden that no young Mother should have to face. We've got 2 prestigious brain surgeons on our team, to kick that nasty tumor's butt. Now, let's see if we can band together and knock some of these nasty mounting bills out!
