Our Family Angel Goes Home

Jonathan: A Gift From God.
"If every tear we shed for you became a star above You'd stroll an angels garden lit by ever lasting love."

The day he was born changed the lives of so many. He was the happiest baby anyone encountered. He came in a time in which our family needed a "light". He became our reason, our "light".
Then one Day God decided to start Jonathan's journey on a different path, as a Special Needs child.
After a simple and routine surgery at the age of 6 months, Jonathan became an angel who expressed his emotions through his eyes, smiles and groans. Jonathan suffered medical malpractice and became brain damanged. However, his spirit was untouched.
Once Jonathan became our Special Needs Angel, everyone who met him was inspired to be better and to do better with their own lives. Seeing Jonathan's own drive, determination and will to live was more than enough to change a negative mind. He was our glue which held our family together, our reason to see each other on the weekends and spend holidays together.
For many years, Doctors would try to ready his Mother for his death before he reached a year, three then 5.
He out lived many of the professionals outcomes. So much that he learned to communicate with a computer and buttons mounted by his hands and head. Every outcome and possibility he reached them, he proved to them that doctors weren't always right. He showed us that faith was all we needed.
Through his 20 years of blessed life, his Mother, Aleisha, made him a life which any "Normal" child would love to have. Vacations, trips, swimming and family events were included in his everyday life. She was his #1 Fan, advocate, protector and believer. Because of her, he lived such an amazing life dispite his obstacles. Til the end she fought to keep him living. And he held on for as long as possible.
Although we are all left with unanswered questions, his Mother was able to answer one in which she was asked late last night. "Would you like to donate Jonathans Corneas?" Althought she hesitated to answer right away, she answered "Yes". With a simple request on her part, To be able to meet the receiver of his Corneas. To be able to meet the person or persons who will be able to see a life he was unable to see. A life of running, playing, sight seeing, a life of being "Normal".
Due to his untimely passing, we are all hit hard with his absence.
More so his Mother, who is in need of funds to help with his final farewells.
We ask for anyone to please reach in their hearts and help in any way with his funeral expenses. This is so much for his family to bare as they did their best to keep him her with us.
