As you may know my nephew, Brandon was involved in a shooting that took place in Birmingham, Alabama. 
Brandon is the kind of kid everyone loves to be around, he has a light about himself that gravitated towards anybody who came across his path. Brandon currently attends Smith middle school and is in the seventh grade. Brandon is also in the band at Smith middle school and plays the baritone which he truly enjoys. Brandon also enjoys rapping, writing his own music, recording, telling jokes, and playing with his brothers, and friends. 

He is a talented 12-year-old who looks after his younger brothers and his mother. 
On Friday, March 22 the Police and Birmingham firefighters responded about 3:15 p.m to a small apartment complex in the 1800 block of Carson Road, Brandon was outside playing with his friends when shots rang out, the last thing he remembered was running in his home to his mother, screaming and telling her he could not breathe while holding his back as blood pooled from him. Brandon was then taken to the hospital where we would dreadfully find out that a healthy 12 year-old, who enjoys life more than anything will no longer be able to walk, and he would have to have an extensive amount of therapy to relearn his normal daily activities and new way of life. The family is asking for support, prayers and monetary donations for this untimely and unfortunate tragic event. Brandon‘s mother is currently in Birmingham Alabama with limited family and resources, and after a long, hard thought out decision Brandons mother had to let go of her job to care for her younger three children, and Brandon’s new way of living.
