My Dad lost everything in Ca fires

My Dad lost his house he has lived in and rented for 20 years Monday night in the Ventura county fires. He is staying with my sister and her two children for the time being. She is putting everything she has into helping him from her end and I am trying to do what I can from Colorado were I live. The donations will be used for all the basics and anything he would need when moving in to a new home. He was able to grab a few of the important things but the fire came fast and he had to get out of there in a hurry. He has lost a lifetime of possessions and memories. Let me tell you about my amazing and frustrating dad . He does not like to ask for help which is why my sister and I are trying are hardest to help him in his time of need. I will tell you why he is amazing. My dad did not meet me until I was 1 when he starting seeing my mother. I of course don't remember to much from that time, but from when I can remember he was the one I called daddy. He has always treated me like I was his, even after my little sister, his biological daughter was born. He was the father I was always meant to have. He has stuck by me my whole life, good times and bad. Even after he and my mother were divorced when I was around 11 or 12. He has been there for me even when both of my biological parents have not been. He has shown me so much love in my life. I think about how lucky I am to have him and my whole family all the time. If it wasnt for all of them I wouldn't have any family which is so important to me. I just want to show him how much he means to me and how much I love him by trying to make things a little easier when he needs it the most. We love you so much dad. All of your loving children.
