86 Silence Needs Your Help

Hi there! Good morning, hope everyone is well. My name is Chazz Madrigal, I am a co-founder and Director of Community Outreach of 86 Silence alongside our Executive Director A. James Boyer and I'm here to ask for some help. We are a non profit organization focusing on raising the profile of sexual harrasment and assault in the hospitality industry. We have partnered with LifeWire and the Health & Wellness program at the University of Washington to bring what we hope is the first of many workshops on this issue. In the workshop we will discuss shared experiences, work through them collectively, identify warning signs of abuse and harassment and give attendees tools and resources to use when they encounter this behavior both in the workplace and beyond. I mentioned I was here to ask for help. We have our first workshop this Monday and while the community has been gracious enough to donate time and goods for it to happen, we're still a little short on being able to cover our expenses. We know times are tough right now and it's hard to find extra money to support causes. Anything you can help with will have an immediate and lasting impact as we lay the groundwork for a legacy of teaching, learning, and healing.
