A Service Dog for Rylan

Donation protected
Rylan AKA "The Boog" is, as I tell him nightly, the greatest boy in the Universe. He also has autism and epilepsy. This spring we began working with Wilderwood Service Dogs in Maryville, TN to obtain a service dog for Ry to help with symptoms of his autism and epilepsy. This dog will be vital to Rylan's health and independence in so many ways. Once trained, it can help with everything from interrupting his self-stimulatory behaviors so he can focus during ABA therapy sessions to keeping him from running into the street to helping alert us when Rylan has a seizure so we can get his emergency medication into him as quickly as possible.

The full cost of the dog will be $12,000. This is actually a pretty cheap price tag for a service dog as Wilderwood is a non-profit organization. However, it's not an amount we can raise alone. We've put down the initial $1000 deposit, and now we need to raise $5000 by September 1 and the remaining $6000 by December 1. The Boog thanks you very, very, very much for any donation you can make small or large and for sharing his story. You can learn more about him on my blog: megcentric.blogspot.com. He is an amazing, gentle, loving child and I am lucky to be his mother.
