In Honor of Michael R. Cisneros Sr.

Donation protected
Michael "Mike" Robert Cisneros Sr. passed away on August 12, 2016, at the age of 54. Beloved husband of nearly 29 years to Nancy (nee Flowers) Cisneros. Loving father of Tina, Angie and Mike Jr. Cherished son of Robert E. and the late Anna Marie (nee Hendrigsman) Cisneros. Dear brother of Richard.

Mike's family has a rare and beautiful hope to keep the memory of this beloved man alive. Mike and his wife Nancy frequently visited the Cincinnati Nature Center. As part of his recovery from previous strokes, Nacey and Mike walked the trail of the Nature Center every day. Throughout his recovery, Mike was experiencing some anxiety.  On the day he passed away, Mike and Nancy walked the trail and came accross a bench that said "Relax, don't worry, have fun!". The bench brought laughter in a time of anxiety. The picture above is of Mike sitting on this very bench on the day he passed away. The family would like to have donations sent to Cincinnati Nature Center in hopes of being able to get Mike his own bench on his favorite trail with the saying "No man is a failure who has friends". This quote is from the film It's a Wonderful Life (the family's FAVORITE Christmas movie).

This GoFundMe account has been created to provide funds to his family to assist in making this dream possible. The goal is set to cover the cost of the bench, which would be $5,000 dollars. In the event that donations exceed the goal- additional funds will go to the family to help with funeral costs and arrangements.

This bench would provide a place for family and friends to remember Mike. A place where they can "sit and talk with" the man that stole the hearts of everyone he knew. A man that proved that "No man is a failure who has friends". Mike was a man loved by all and truly one of a kind. He will always be remebered by his friends and family.

"Mike was one of those rare people that you feel truly blessed to have known, a wonderful husband, father, and friend."

"Mike Cisneros was a great father to his three children, a great husband to Nancy, a cherished friend to me, and an all-around wonderful human being. He greeted you with a big hug and was always ready with an entertaining anecdote. He just made you enjoy every moment you spent with him. He was taken from us way too soon, but if anyone is worthy of a spot in Heaven, it's him."

"The world lost one of its greatest treasures last night. We will remember you forever, Mike Cisneros Sr. The way you lived and loved, with such kindness, compassion and pure joy, will never be forgotten."

Thank you to everyone for their support during this time. It means so very much to the Cisneros family.
