KIDA - Skills Development Center

Donation protected
Our current goal is to build a Skills-Development Center and have an Elementary Primary School where orphans with no chance to education, single mothers, young orphan girls, school dropouts  can access elementary education and  practical vocational skills for survival .

The fishing village of Katosi in Uganda has been severely impacted by an outbreak of HIV/AIDS in recent years. Families have been disrupted, children left orphans, and most of the residents of Katosi are forced to live far below the poverty line. Katosi Inter-Community Development Alliance (KIDA), a community-based non-profit organization, was founded in 2012 to help get to the bottom of the unprivileged orphans to access free elementary education and transform the future of the most vulnerable children, women and youths through various vocational skills to sustain them in implementation of their own small businesses.

We at KIDA have been operating a small-scale hairdressing and tailoring skills program for the young orphaned girls, single mothers, school dropouts and widows of Katosi since 2013. Upon completion of the program, 30 graduates were given the necessary supplies (for example sewing machines, salon supplies, etc.) to use their new skills to support themselves and their families.

We need your help raising the necessary funds to lay the first step (ground foundation) by this year 2019.Part of the land is available where the proposed plan shall seat since the available is not enough for the whole project,
But to kick start on the full project we seek firstly to raise €10,000 to partly cover on the architect building plan and additional land. Therefore I want to take this opportunity to thank whoever contributed partly towards to construction plan where we managed to have some piece of work as show above and whole shall be given at completion of fees.

Friends and all well-wishers who want to see KIDA transforming thousands of lives
