Malik's Medical Fund

Let me start out by saying that this is not easy to do, but circumstances in life has made this task neccessary.  My son, Malik was run over by a car while riding his motorcycle on August 22, 2017.  He has been in the ICU unit at Johns Hopkins hospital since then.  After speaking to his lawyer,  we realize that the insurance policy of the driver will not cover his medical bills or allow Malik to maintain his current lifestyle.  Malik is a father of two 'A' students.  He works for the local engery company as a Trainer.  He coached football and basketball last year.   In short he is a good guy, a dedicated family man.  

At this time the medical costs have exceeded the policy limits of the person responsible.  We are anticipating these cost will continue to rise as he goes through recovery and physical therapy.   After he leaves the ICU he willl be sent to a recovery facility until he able to function and resume his job.   

I have estimated that he will need at the minimum $500,000 but I am not sure if that is enough.  I  am hoping to use any funds donated to offset medical costs and to asisst the family as best we can.  Malik's daughter is in her junior year in High school and is sure to be continuing her education in college after her graduation.   His son, a second grader, plays football and basketball and misses his father's presence at practices.

As I stated at the beginning of this request, Asking for help is not easy, but we are facing an emergency that we were not prepared to dal with.  My son has a long raod to recovery ahead.  I am hoping that he does not have additional stress to deal with while trying to regain his form.  Thank you for any assistance you can render.
