Sister City Exchange 2020

We are eight high-school students from the Central Queensland towns of Blackwater, Springsure and Emerald that have successfully applied for a student exchange to Japan in the June/July holidays in 2020. 

Each year our council hosts and supports this program that includes a home-stay with a Japanese family in our Sister City Ichinoseki. 

If we want to stay longer than that, we have to raise the money to fund our activities. We'd love stay and explore more of what Japan has to offer and are set on raising funds to reach that goal.

For many of us this will be the first time travelling on our own, travelling overseas and being away from home. We'll be able to use the Japanese learnt at school in real-life situations and experience the etiquette and culture of the country.
