After a year of horrible foot pain, I finally went to the doctor. I had already tried everything under the sun I could think of from weight loss to insoles and nothing worked. So from my primary care doctor thinking I had stress fractures to seeing a specialist, I finally got answers. I have Achilles Tendonitis and Haglund's Deformity. I will be having an MRI next week to determine the amount of damage to my tendon as my doc suspects tearing.
I spent a month doing physical therapy while working a very physical 40 hour work week job in hopes of alleviating the pain and just moving forward. Unfortunately, while it helped, it didn't help enough.
I will be working until July 31st, having surgery August 1st and be off work until November 1st.
The funds requested will go to pay rent September, October and Novemember and pay utilities/buy food.
I have applied for rent assistance and food stamps through the state and called the temp agencies in town looking for any at home work I can do.
I haven't been with my job long enough for FMLA and short term disability funds. So my job is being secured with an emergency medical leave. After my accrued personal and vacation time is used up, I have zero income. Those hours will be used up by Aug 8th.
South Dakota is a 3 days to quit state, meaning if my rent isn't paid the eviction notice is given and I have 3 days to vacate the premises. This Go Fund Me account is an attempt to prevent that from happening.
Any help is a blessing! Thank you in advance!
