Hello dear friends and family,
I've gone down the rabbit hole, and find myself on a wild adventure. My journey is breast cancer....
I am a mother of four (ages 2-19) and I was diagnosed in 2013 with Stage 3 breast cancer. I had a mastectomy and underwent four and a half months of chemotherapy. Next up is tamoxifen and copper chelation. A big part of making my way to whole and true health has been finding complementary holistic treatment. To that end, I am using homeopathy and botanical supplements under the guidance of a naturopath and acupuncturist.
It has been extremely important for me to consider my whole, entire, radiant being as I step carefully along this path. I have built my health support team with trusted guides who have many years of experience in healing. I attribute my relative ease during treatment, and my fast recovery from chemo and surgery, to the holistic way I view and care for myself.
Of course, this means at times going outside of conventional medicine and outside of the insurance structure. This is where things can get curiouser and curiouser. The supplements that I need to achieve total health are quite costly and none are covered by insurance. Here's where you can help.
Your donations thus far have allowed me to stay strong in body and spirit for the last 10 months (yay!), and I am now at an important juncture: It is critical that I continue building strength and resilience to avoid recurrence. Recurrence is most likely within the first 18 months after diagnosis and treatment. My herbal protocol is more important than ever.
All donations to this fundraiser will go toward the purchase of needed botanicals and remedies so that I can stay strong in body and spirit.
