I am Gary's sister Tracy. About a year ago Gary started seeing his PCP & another specialist for several issues including anemia, a high ESR (lab showing inflammation in body), unexplained fevers, fatigue, etc.
In April of this year (2013) he saw a Nurse practitioner for abdominal pain and was sent for a CT scan. The CT showed a mass on his Right kidney.
Surgery: They were unable to do anything. The mass is much larger than anticipated, it has grown since just the other day at the CT scan. It is involved in all his organs, including his intestines. They had several surgeons working on him, they had to open him up, he lost a lot of blood. They could find no way to remove any of the mass without causing major damage to surrounding organs, etc.
