My sister's name is Ana, she is 28yo and on March 2013 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, she was in her 8th month of pregnancy. She had to have a C-section because she needed to start with the chemotherapy as soon as possible. Fortunately, the baby was healthy and big enough to be born, so he was born with no complications. Ana started chemotherapy but also started a change in her lifestyle. She got advise and tips from lots of people and after reading about every single one of them she decided that she was not going to go in only one direction. She was going to do everything that was in her reach to get better. She changed her eating habits, started drinking juices from fruits and vegetables on daily basis, meditation and a whole lot of other things. The results are unbelievable. To the date, one session away from finishing her nine chemotherapy sessions the cancer is virtually gone. Doctors are impressed on how fast cancer has involuted. She was a stage III when she was diagnosed (it was a large tumor and she had already lymph nodes affected) and now they cannot find it as a tumor per se. It's just some spread cells. It is amazing. Nonetheless, she is going to have a mastectomy due to the kind of cancer that she had and the risk of it coming back (because of age mostly, she will have genetic tests) and radiotherapy to finish the treatment.
But on every step since she was diagnosed, her attitude, her strength and positive thinking has amazed me and many others. She keeps repeating that she has the strongest motivation in her beautiful baby boy (Oskar) and that there's no other option but to get better.
Despite all of this, there is no question that both chemotherapy and radiotherapy have strong side effects on the human body which is why she is looking forward going to a rehabilitation center (specifically Ayurvedic healing process Panchakarma) where she can finish restoring her health and setting closure to this tough (but also full with learning) experience. Unfortunately, her health insurance does not cover this and it exceeds their economical capacity at the moment. This is why we ask for your help, anything is helpful and I'm sure that Ana, Stefan (her husband) and Oskar will be forever grateful with your generosity.
El nombre de mi hermana es Ana, tiene 28 años y en Marzo del 2013 fue diagnosticada con Cáncer de Mama. En ese entonces estaba en su 8º mes de embarazo y éste tuvo que ser interrumpido por medio de una cesárea ya que tenÃa que empezar su tratamiento con quimioterapia lo antes posible. Afortunadamente el bebé estaba lo suficientemente grande y saludable para nacer y no tuvo ninguna complicación.
Ana empezó con la quimioterapia, pero también empezó a hacer un cambio en su estilo de vida. Recibió consejos de muchas personas y después de leer acerca de cada uno de ellos, decidió que no iba a tomar sólo una dirección en su tratamiento. Iba a hacer todo lo que estuviera a su alcance para sanar. Cambió su alimentación a una dieta ayurvédica, empezó a tomar jugos de frutas y verduras todos los dÃas, meditación y hongo Reishi entre muchas cosas más. Los resultados son increÃbles. A la fecha, a una sesión más de completar un ciclo de nueve sesiones de quimioterapia el tumor está prácticamente desaparecido. Sus doctores están impresionados con lo rápido que ha involucionado el tumor. Estaba en etapa III cuando la diagnosticaron (el tumor era muy grande y ya tenÃa nódulos linfáticos afectados) y ahora no pueden delimitarlo como un tumor como tal. Son nada más unas cuantas células cancerosas. Es impresionante.
Sin embargo, a pesar de su rápida mejorÃa, se va a someter a una mastectomÃa, debido al tipo de tumor que fue, al rápido crecimiento de este y al riesgo que tiene de reincidir (sobre todo por su edad además de que va a hacerse pruebas genéticas) y después de ésta, va a terminar su tratamiento con radioterapia.
Pero desde que la diagnosticaron, nos han impresionado a mà y a muchos más su actitud, su fuerza, sus pensamientos positivos. Ella se la pasa repitiendo que tiene a la mayor motivación para salir adelante en Oskar, su hermoso hijo de casi 4 meses de edad y que la única opción es sanar.
No obstante, no hay duda alguna de que tanto la quimioterapia como la radioterapia tienen fuertes efectos adversos en el cuerpo humano, por lo cual Ana espera tener la oportunidad de ir a un centro de rehabilitación (un tratamiento ayurvédico que se llama Panchakarma, entre otros procesos curativos y de desintoxicación) donde ella pueda terminar por restablecer su salud y ponerle un fin a esta difÃcil -pero llena de aprendizaje- experiencia.
Desafortunadamente su seguro médico no lo cubre y esto excede sus posibilidades económicas. Es por esto que les pido su apoyo y cualquier ayuda les será muy útil y estoy segura que Ana, Stefan (su esposo) y Oskar, les estarán por siempre agradecidos por su generosidad.

Weil die Chemotherapie so früh wie möglich beginnen musste, wurde ein Kaiserschnitt durchgeführt. Zum Glück war das Kind gesund und kräftig genug, um auf die Welt gebracht zu werden, so dass dieser Eingriff ohne Komplikationen verlief. Ana begann mit der Chemotherapie, veränderte aber auch ihren Lebensstil. Sie bekam Hinweise von vielen verschiedenen Personen und nachdem sie alles gelesen hatte, entschied sie, sich nicht nur in eine Richtung zu wenden, um den Krebs zu bekämpfen. Sie war entschlossen, alles in ihrer Macht stehende zu tun, um wieder zu genesen. Sie veränderte ihre Essgewohnheiten, begann frische Säfte von Gemüse und Obst zu trinken und Vieles mehr. Das Ergebnis war unglaublich. Heute, kurz vor Abschluss der 9 Sitzungen umfassenden Chemotherapie, hat sich der Krebs fast vollständig zurückgebildet. Die Ärzte sind verblüfft, wie schnell die Krebszellen zurückgingen. Zur Diagnose war sie bereits im 3. Stadium der Krankheit (ein großer Tumor, bereits mit befallenen Lymphknoten), wohingegen heute kein Tumor mehr festgestellt werden kann. Es sind nur noch vereinzelte und verstreute Krebszellen festzustellen. Das ist wunderbar! Jedoch wird sie aufgrund der aggressiven Natur des Krebses, ihres Alters und eventueller genetischer Vorbelastung (ein Test wird noch durchgeführt) eine Mastektomie (Amputation der Brust) durchführen lassen, um das Risiko eines Rückfalls zu minimieren. Eine Strahlentherapie wird die Behandlung abschließen. Bei jedem Schritt seit der Diagnose haben ihre Einstellung, ihre Stärke und ihre positive Art zu denken mich und viele andere tief beeindruckt. Sie betont immer wieder, dass ihre größte Motivation in ihrem wunderschönen Sohn Oskar liegt und sie keine andere Wahl hat, als gesund zu werden. Trotz allem besteht kein Zweifel daran, dass sowohl die Chemo- als auch die Strahlentherapie den Körper stark beeinträchtigen. Aus diesem Grund möchte Ana ein spezielle Kur durchführen (PanchaKarma, eine spezielle Form der ayurvedischen Heilbehandlung), mit der sie ihre Gesundheit wieder vollständig herstellen und einen Schlussstrich unter diese harte (aber auch lehrreiche) Erfahrung setzen kann. Leider kommt ihre Krankenversicherung nicht dafür auf und die Kosten übersteigen die finanziellen Möglichkeiten ihrer jungen Familie. Aus diesem Grund möchte ich um Ihre Unterstützung bitten.
