"Simplicity of Life and Elevation of Purpose", is the cornerstone for Generic Clothing. Generic is the essence of simplicity, especially in this era of excess. As a dancer, I have toured with many talented artists and have been exposed to a highly fashion driven industry. While working in this type of environment, I couldn't help but take note of the perceived status that certain clothing brings. Celebrity pop culture has really become embedded in our everyday lives and so has the obsession with "name brand"Ÿ apparel. In contrast, I do believe that in some way we are all seeking simplicity. This is why I have created the brand " Generic Clothing".
The production process has been challenging. I have had the ability to create some amazing pieces but have lacked the needed resources and or funds to mass-produce them. I am really excited to continue to grow as a brand, and want to add new designs to my collection. Last year I was successfully funded through a kickstarter campaign. Although it was great to get things started I am in need of a little more money to complete my sample line. For those that aren't familiar with fashion there is A LOT of trial and error, blood, sweat and tears that go into creating a great line. I don't believe in short cuts, when you do something you do it right the first time. This is why I really need your help to launch my clothing line the right way. As of now I have purchased all my material, Purchased and screen printed patches, Purchased some trims and Hired a pattern Maker that has created all of my patterns. To complete my sample line I need to hire cutters, markers, graders and sewers.
Once the sample line is complete I have contacts in place to take this line to the next level. By contributing to my line you have a chance to be apart of this exciting journey! Any thing helps, from $1 to $1,000 I would love your support!!
