Send FIRST Team 3807 to St. Louis!

In autumn of 2010, Physics teacher Brian Huang arrived at Overland High School, in Aurora, Colorado. With him and then-Sophomore Sawyer McLane's vision, Overland's robotics program was reborn. Since then, the OHS BlazerBots have participated in both the 2011 and 2012 FIRST Robotics Competitions.
In the spring of last year, we placed 24th out of 45 teams at our Colorado Regional competition, and left richer in experience but somewhat disheartened.
On March 24th of this year, we left the Regional astonished and cheerful after taking 1st place as a part of the winning alliance, with an invitation to compete in the 2012 FIRST World Championships near the end of April.
This victory, however, comes at a price: the Championship itself costs $5,000, and takes place in St. Louis, MO -- requiring transportation, plus four days' food and board for the team.
Robotics, while fun and educational, is an expensive activity. Competition entry, parts, marketing products (team shirts, buttons, etc.), and travel add up to more than our school and few generous sponsors can afford alone. We need the support of parents, relatives, friends and other kind donors who just want to contribute to a great cause.
Thank you to anyone who contributes and good luck to everyone at the Championships! We hope to see you there!
