“No child should have to live in fear.”
Six days ago, my 11-year-old daughter was brutally attacked by a group of 9 girls in the Bronx, New York. This assault left her not only with physical injuries but also with deep trauma. Since then, we have been unable to leave our home: while the attackers walk free, my daughter and I feel imprisoned in our own house, terrified of being attacked again.
The police told me the only thing they can do is issue a restraining order. But how can I tell my daughter she is safe when those who hurt her are still out there, facing no consequences, and neither justice nor the parents of those children have taken responsibility?
Many people tell me, “just move to a safer place,” and believe me, that is my deepest wish. But moving is not simple — it is expensive and overwhelming to cover a deposit, first month’s rent, moving costs, and the essentials to rebuild a home where my daughter can heal and reclaim her childhood without fear.
That is why I am raising funds. Every contribution, big or small, will go directly toward giving my daughter a safe and peaceful home.

How will the funds be used?
All funds raised will be used for:
• Security deposit and first month’s rent in a safer neighborhood.
• Moving expenses: truck, movers, and transportation.
• Furniture and basic household items to start over.
• Essential utilities: electricity, gas, internet, and setup fees.
• Emergency cushion for unexpected expenses while we settle.
Our initial goal is $12,000, which is the minimum estimated to move and start a new life in a safe place for my daughter.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our story, for sharing it, and for any help you can give. Your support can truly change my daughter’s life.
