<div>We collect, conserve, and exhibit all kinds of information processing technology, preserve the knowledge of it, illuminate its effect on society, and foster understanding of the underlying science. Illuminating the effect of technology on society entails exhibiting computer systems as well as items from other fields, showing how they worked before and after the "digital convergence." Our tagline is "A Hands-On History of Information Technology," because we value interactivity and authentic experiences with vintage technology.

<div>Thanks to donors just like you, we've had a great year:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Installed a substantial warehouse shelving system in our new building
</li>
<li>Deployed our traveling interactive computer history exhibit in our own space
</li>
<li>Put our Cray-2 supercomputer and other artifacts on display
</li>
<li>Received a PDP-11/34 system, a Heathkit EC-1 analog computer, an Osborne 1 (with maintenance manuals!), an IBM 5100, a CPT 8000 word processor, various single-board computers and trainers, a 30-year collection of Wired magazine, and many other historical items
</li>
<li>Showed our exhibit to people from near and far, including hosting a university-level history of computing class
</li>

<div>Your gifts today enable us to continue to progress in all these areas. This fundraiser is intended to cover most of our expenses for the coming year. We've made a lot of headway since the photo above was taken, but we still have a ways to go:

<li>Lighting and other projects to complete on the building
</li>
<li>Upgrades to the exhibit space
</li>
<li>Move more items from their present storage locations to the new warehouse
</li>
<li>Finish setting up our media lab for "bit" preservation (software and data)
</li>
<li>Outfit our restoration shop area
</li>
<li>Plus routine expenses for utilities and so on
</li>

<div>Our long-term goal is to use the present facility to show our small exhibit to the public while we prepare more items to be on display at a future large-scale exhibit space.
