Solar Powered Go-Kart

I am Myles DiRuggiero, and I am passionate about engineering and the environment. For my school capstone project, I am designing a solar powered go-kart. A capstone project is a school year long project where you create or research something that will help the world or your community. A solar powered go-kart will help prove to car companies that solar powered vehicles are completely possible to make if a 13 year old is capable of creating one. Despite having electric cars, we still need solar cars because currently the electricity to fuel EVs isn’t 100% carbon neutral. For the project, I will need $3,500 to cover the costs of the solar panels, battery, motors, etc.
