Revisit Ethiopia for Immanuel

Immanuel's 18th Birthday Wish

In 2008 Immanuel, age seven, and Hana, age 12, were adopted from Ethiopia by a family in Sedro-Woolley in Washington State.

This family severely abused the children. Hana died on May 11th, 2011 as a result of this abuse. Immanuel adopted as a deaf child was then diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

During this tumultuous time he was placed as a foster child with Sheila Hall Price and her two children. He was adopted into this loving family and with their help worked hard to overcome his past.

As part of his healing, his adopted family fostered a close relationship with the Ethiopian Community in Seattle. Recently his family and the Ethiopian Community arranged for him to visit, at his request, Hana's grave.

After the visit Immanuel expressed his wish that for his 18th birthday he wanted to visit Ethiopia to learn more about his roots. Immanuel will be 18 this June.

Immanuel needs the support of his family for his emotional and mental well-being during his visit to Ethiopia where no one will understand his American Deaf Culture.

Please help Immanuel’s dream come true by sending Immanuel and his family to Ethiopia this summer to complete his healing and to start his adult life with clarity and empowerment.
