Medical Mission Trip to Peru

Hi everyone! I am excited to announce that my classmates and I will be traveling to Peru this coming semester to volunteer at Publiclínico Parroquial Belén, a medical clinic in Cusco, and provide healthcare in remote villages. We will be primarily serving women and their children, performing assessments, giving medications, and promoting positive behaviors to prevent disease. Not only will this be an incredible opportunity to apply the skills I’ve learned in nursing school to a community setting but it will also allow me to fully immerse myself in another culture. My classmates and I will be taking nightly Spanish classes and spending time with Peruvian locals. Additionally, we will be traveling to Machu Picchu to see the Mayan Ruins, which has always been a dream of mine.
