Hi guys -
As many of you already know, our lovely Jessica has been battling some serious health issues this last year due to complications following the removal of her gall bladder. During this seemingly straightforward procedure the underside of her liver was accidentally torn off. For the next year she sought multiple medical opinions, all the while bile was leaking and causing serious burns and nerve damage. She has missed months of work, holidays with family, but most importantly time with her kids and husband that she won’t be able to get back.
Through all of this, Jess has remained strong and resilient, continuing to greet others with a warm smile and embrace, despite aching for her personal health nightmare to be over. With countless visits to the Emergency Department (most recently this past Saturday) requiring admission to the hospital, EMS trips, a multitude of diagnostic tests, narcotic weans, emotional stress, and massive amounts of pain, Jessica has struggled to maintain normalcy in her life.
This process is a bit overwhelming and scary so she hasn’t been able to respond to all the messages she has received but wants everyone to know how immensely thankful she is for the outpouring love and support. She has asked us personally to pass along a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already generously given to her through time, PTO, and other thoughtful gestures.
Many of you have reached out to her and asked how you can help. Unfortunately, we can no longer donate PTO to her (due to company policies) but how great would it be if we could team up to alleviate some of the looming stress imposed by her growing medical bills?! That way, when she’s back on her feet she can focus on catching up and enjoying the moments with her family and friends that she soooo deserves!
We have set the fundraiser goal at $10,000! This girl deserves to smile, so let’s be the reason! Any amount that you can contribute will make a positive impact on her next chapter!
