Help Greg get home to his family!

I love Greg Alexander.

My guess is, if you're reading this, so do you. If you are from the Adirondacks, or had the pleasure of meeting them at one of Greg's shows, my next guess is that you love the entire Alexander Clan, just like I do. The term "great people" doesn't seem to do them justice. If you know them, you understand what I mean...

Right now the Alexanders are experiencing a serious family crisis.

Greg's wonderful dad, Charlie Alexander, is suffering from non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, and is very rapidly losing the ability to function. Hospice has been called in to assist with arrangements to make Charlie more comfortable, but what is really needed right now is to have the whole family together.

Unfortunately, Greg is in Los Angeles, living the life of a budding artist, and finances for him and his entire family, are very tight.

Greg has worked hard to create a life for himself in California. He has found an ideal living situation and has appeared as an extra on a major network sitcom. He also works with his close friend and internet sensation Nice Peter on various projects (search for "Awkward White Guys in Shorts" on YouTube - you won't be disappointed!) and is a part of a comic musical theater improve troupe called ROBOT TEAMMATE AND THE ACCIDENTAL PARTY (I haven't seen them perform...but with a name like that, they can only be awesome.)

Despite the fast pace of life in LA, Greg wants and needs to be home with his family now. I think, if we work together, we can help Greg spend invaluable time with his dad, and still not lose all he's worked for in California.

Greg's rent and utilities come to around $900/month, and obviously he will have to either quit or take a leave from his day job. He needs plane and bus tickets to get home to Vermontville, and eventually back to LA.

What Greg really needs is a chance to spend time with his family, and help out at home in whatever way he can - without worrying that the life he has worked so hard to build in California is crumbling without him.

I put a goal of $4,000 on this fundraiser, but I don't really have an exact figure of how much it will cost to cover Greg's rent and travel costs. Any additional funds we might raise will go to helping the family with costs generated by this crisis. Greg's brother Wes is also trying to get home from West Virginia, and extra funding for his travels would certainly be helpful, too.

How you can help:

Donate! Right here, on this page. Funds will go directly to Greg and send him on his way home! Even a few dollars will help - it really does add up!

Pass it on and boost the signal! Even if you are unable to donate yourself, you can still help tremendously by spreading the word! Facebook, Twitter, whatever you use - post, repost, and share!!

Send prayers, good energy, reiki, blessings, happy thoughts, and positive vibes to Charlie and his family. They need you right now.

We know the Alexanders are a strong family, and they can get through anything together. So let's help them BE together, and show them we are standing by - ready, willing, and eager to do anything we can to help!

Thanks so much for reading, and please help if you can!

Love and Light,

Melissa Hart
