Mariah is a bright happy teenager who was born into the Los Angeles foster care system. At the age of 4 she was adopted by me and me alone. Now at 14 she stands at the cross roads of good and bad, deciding which direction is right for her. She suffers from ADHD and slight dyslexia and is not doing well in school. I would like to send her to Success Oriented Achievement Realized... SOAR, soarnc.org. for summer camp. She will be surrounded by other teens with learning challenges and hopefully gain confidence, study skills and the leadership qualities that will carry her through high school. IT TAKES A VILLAGE!
