My name is Christine Maldonado, many know me as Christy, and I am Jason Ibarra's cousin. He is my cousin, but more of a brother. We are only two months apart in age and we have been on our life's journey together from the start. Jason went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 10, 2025. I am reaching out for donations that will be used to help pay for funeral and medical expenses that Jason's family has incurred. As many of you know Jason had many health issues beginning with his kidney transplant 16 years ago. He thrived on that kidney for many years. He more recently went into kidney failure again and was back on dialysis. He had a very rough journey this past year with his health and was in and out of the hospital throughout the year.
Jason was always a hard worker, and no matter how weak his body was he would push himself to work. He had an amazing work ethic. Jason was working up until just weeks ago, despite feeling very weak from dialysis and the other health issues he was experiencing. I would consistently tell him that he needed to take care of his body and that his work ethic was never questionable. He wanted to ensure that he could take care of his family and pushed himself to do just that. Jason's priority was never himself it was always my Aunt Gloria, Uncle Robert, Kayla and Abraham. Their well being was his prime concern and he wanted to give them the world, as any amazing son, father and grandfather would want. Jason was anything but selfish. He was one of the most giving and loving people I know. If you were blessed enough to know him then you know exactly what I am talking about. He was a loyal friend and had an amazing heart. Not to mention he was a character and could always make us laugh. He will be greatly missed!
Your monetary contributions and, more importantly, prayers are greatly appreciated during this difficult time. We are grateful for anything that you can give and hope that you will join us in remembering Jason and the amazing man that he was.
