365 Won't drink - Let's Dive!
Hi. I'm Sue, Founder of Coastal Cleaners Andalucia (CCA) and I will undertake a big personal challenge by not drinking alcohol for 1 year! As someone who likes a drink most days and is renowned for liking quite a few when i get going, this is
quite some challenge. In return I am asking for funding. The money will allow me to continue the work of CCA and pay for dive tuition for a young person from the local community.
Our sociable group have removed over 1060 bags of rubbish from local coastlines and natural spaces, created music videos, events, educational fridge magnets and art works, given presentations and spread awareness of ways to reduce our use of plastics and our impact on the earth and oceans in just 1 year!
My exciting new project 'Let's dive' will enable a local, young person (ideally someone connected to the fishing or farming community, education (young teacher) or local council perhaps) to experience the underwater world first hand, qualifying to at least PADI Open water standard.
Following the belief that we protect what we love, The chosen person will be keen to learn and have a clear idea of how they will use the experience within their community peer group to share knowledge and inspire others. Whether that be through art, music, workshops, presentations, photography or eco tourism etc.
I believe in the work of CCA and the potential of the Let's Dive project and I am committed to my end of the deal. 365 Won't drink- Let's dive.
