On May 10, 2013, our 12 year old granddaughter, Savannah, became suddenly paralyzed from the waist down from an unknown cause. An MRI shows damage to her anterior spinal cord. It is unlikely that she will regain use of her legs. Our daughter and son-in-law have insurance, but there are deductibles, plus equipment, supplies, therapy, and significant remodeling needed to their home to make it wheelchair friendly. She is doing well learning to get around and live in a wheelchair, but it will take time for her to figure out how she fits in her world of school, neighborhood and church. As her family, we are anxious for her to have the physical needs so she can focus on the rest. Any all all help would be very much appreciated!
