Jared Meyers was an extraordinary person who was always thinking about ways to make people happy and get people together. He worked tireless on putting together na Shield-Hillel reunion that brought many of us together for the first time in 50 years.
Jared never stopped wanting to do more and often talked about having another reunion. Unfortunately for Jared his time with us drew to a close, but because of his work many of us enjoy quarterly get-togethers where we have the experience of sharing time together as we get older and the group grows smaller. All this thanks to Jared Meyers.
Please share in my belief that he is in a better place now. He is in God's hands and God has a special place for special people like Jared. The sun will always shine on his memory and I know that he would not want you to mourn his passing, but celebrate his great life with his loving wife, Sharon, his children, grandchildren and many, many friends.
Your donations will go to the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation and to plant a number of trees in Israel in Jared's name. I hope you will do whatever you can and please leave a reflection with your donation.
I am going to ask all Jared's friends to donate in the next month, so that the fund can be closed and given to The Foundation and the Trees for Israel Fund. All Donations will be made in the name of Shield AZA and Hillel BBG and plaques will be placed on the trees in his memory.
Jared was a special friend. He along with Ivan Moskowitz were sometimes called the three musketeers because of the mischief we would get into together.
