35 iPads for an English class

Our public school serves a wonderfully diverse group of students of many ethnicities: some with special educational needs, some newcomers to the US, some gifted and talented. I teach AP Lit, run a literary and arts magazine, and teach honors, college prep, and ICT grade 11. Department-wide, we are serious, innovative, hardworking teachers who strive to prepare our students for the demands and opportunities of college and careers in the 21st century. Our school has many wonderful factors going for it but we do not have sufficient access to technology for our students. As any academic or professional will attest, today most writing, and especially published writing, is prepared electronically. I would like to be able to distribute iPads to students for classroom use for writing, research, and editing, and also be able to access a wireless printer. In addition, these would be very useful for the literary and arts magazine club so that multiple students could type simultaneously. Also, I will need a secure, locking cart to store the new technology in.
