"Days Friends Helping" represents the power of friendship and the birth of hope. John, a close personal friend of James Scott, actor on the television show Days of our Lives, has spent the last several years suffering from multiple debilitating medical conditions.
On Sunday, June 5, 2011, during the "unofficial Days fan weekend", stars from Days of our Lives will be providing the experience of a lifetime to a VERY LIMITED number of fans who give from the heart in order to help John receive the medical treatment he so desperately needs.
About John: John is a unique individual who has always had a large heart and strove to improve the lives of others. He worked at a boys' home that served abused children ages 11-17. When he moved to LA, his caring nature led him to work at an equine camp that provided recreational and learning opportunities for kids from under served, inner city communities as well as children referred by the
Make-A-Wish foundation.
After spending much time volunteering and helping others, John now finds himself needing our help. Over the course of nearly 15 years, John has been rocked by medical condition after medical condition.
He has a magnitude of muscular-skeletal trauma that leave him reliant on crutches on the best of days but most often he is confined to bed. In addition, he has recurrent and painful abdominal tumors and cysts. Treatment for these conditions has depleted his savings and the nature of the conditions has left him with limited, painful mobility. As a result, John has lost his home, career and the insurance to pay for further treatment.
Without treatment, John's conditions may further deteriorate. This is why James and other members of the Days family are uniting and requesting your help at this time to raise the money required for John to receive treatment and as well as to receive the ultimate gift..of hope.
