Volunteer Trip to Tanzania

I've decided to take a few weeks out of the summer (5/5/2018-5/16/2018)  to travel to Tanzania, Africa to join an amazing program; GIVE. Give is a volunteer based program designed to build eco-friendly educational infrastructures out of recycled materials, teach and tutor children, implement water projects to provide clean water, assist in environmental conservation projects, and most importantly, empower local women to provide food and earn money for their families.

This decision was made because I've never excaped my comfort zone or traveled out of the country to help others in need. I've always been very passionate about helping others because it makes me feel happy, complete and gives me a sense of meaning.

A little bit about myself; I'm a full-time student working towards a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Utah. I currently work 2 jobs and do the best I can to stay focused in school and achieve, at least, a 3.6 GPA. Money is tight, as it is for any college student, but I'm hoping to go on this adventure, open my eyes to life outside my comfort zone, learn about another culture, and most importantly, grow as an individual.

Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly towards my plane ticket to Tanzania and supplies for the locals.
