Dylans journey

Dylan had become very sick in December 2000 and was hospitalized in January 2001; soon after in Febuary of 2001 he had a liver transplant. In October 2003 he had a set back and his platelets started to disappear due to a viral illness where he was hospitalized for a few weeks. He has been so lucky for the last 14 years until about 2 months ago he started to get sick again and all of his blood levels have been very low ever since. He was getting IVIG's then rituxamab through an IV like a chemo treatment while also getting lots of antibiotics and neupogen shots every few days to keep the numbers up. They know it is a auto immune disease or more specifically known as auto immune hemolytic anemia and ITP. He has had a Ct scan, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, bone marrow bi-opsy, ext. also while getting his blood drawn 2 times a week to monitor his white and red blood cell numbers, and his platelets; due to this he has been hospitalized multiple times for 3-4 days at a time which keeps him from being able return to work.
