Our Hope for Devyn

Our 7 month old son hasn't had it easy from the very first breath he took, and while we're blessed that nothing has been 'life threatening' we definitely will fight to make sure he has the best care and chances available to lead a full, normal, happy and healthy life. But it's a fight that, embarrassingly, financially we can't do alone since his insurance will not cover it. When Devyn was born he had so much fluid built up in his ears he could barely hear, and what he did hear resembled being under water. After 7 failed ABR's (extremely detailed hearing tests) they finally approved him for tubes, but by that time he was 6 months old. Because of having to wait, and the severe equilibrium and pressure issues due to the fluid, he has what's called Plagiocephaly, which is non-doctor terms means a misshapen head. The helmet he needs to correct his cranial problems is more than we can cover alone (the out of pocket total is $2395). Every dollar will go a long way in helping us get to the goal we're trying to save up for, and we're extremely thankful and grateful to those reading this right now. We only have 4 1/2 months before his treatment turns surgical and we're desperately trying to avoid that route by all means possible.
