Help Beck's Grampie kick Cancers butt!

Help Becks's best buddy, his Grampie kick Cancers butt. My Dad was diagnosed with stage 3 Esophogeal Cancer a few months ago and has no health insurance and does not qualify for Medicare since hes not 65. Since the household income is over the poverty level of $300 a month he qualifies for no type of assistance at all. He's had a Peg tube (Feeding tube) in his stomach for the last month and a half since he is now no longer able to swallow anything but liquids. He's is scheduled to have surgery this coming week in which they will have to remove his esophagus and then reattach his stomach. Since the tumor is so large the surgeon is unable to save any portion of the esophagus.

My Mom is the only one with an income and cannot afford to pay a huge bill for this life saving surgery out of pocket.They were told at first Henry Ford Hospital had foundations which would pay for the surgery so they didn't have to worry about getting a huge bill. This week the hospital called to let my parents know that they didn't have the funds to cover the surgery and they would be responsible for paying for the surgery and the 10 days in which he has to stay in the hospital after the surgery. The previous oncologist he was seeing let him know that he also cannot continue to treat him if he is uninsured because he will also need several rounds of chemo which cost thousands of dollars each dose and that's something they could never afford to pay out of pocket.

So if you could spare anything every $1 helps! We need to get our Dad, Grampie and Husband healthy again!

Don't ever take your good health for granted because you never know how very precious it is!

Say a little prayer for our family as we find our way through this very hard hurdle in life! Like my Mom always says "God never gives us more than we can handle" though to be honest its hard believing that sometimes, well a lot of the time! Right now we need a miracle!
