Help Alex and his family

Dear friends and colleagues,
We would like to bring to your attention our dear friend Alexander (Alex) Kaw and ask for your kind support for his current dire family situation.
Alex and his family are from the Philippines, but currently live in the United Arab Emirates. In April 2020, Alex's wife, Ednalyn contracted COVID-19 while she was 6-months pregnant. She became gravely ill, in a coma where she remained. A month later baby Caleb was delivered prematurely at 1.4kg, with Doctors' intervention due to various medical complications (low oxygen saturation, pre-eclampsia, hypertension).
Tragically, Ednalyn passed on 10th December 2020 after a long fight. The help of medical staff and the extensive medical treatment was unsuccessful. It has left Alex without his wife, and an insurmountable medical bill.
Alex who is based in Dubai has four children with Ednalyn, Chelsea (12 yrs old) , Chole (9 yrs old), Clyde (4 yrs old) and baby Caleb. Unfortunately Alex, a licensed architect, has also lost his job as a result of COVID and has been unable to find work through this difficult time. Alex’s family are currently cramped in a three bedroom flat with three other families. The children are on minimal essentials to get by daily.
Alex, our dear friend and colleague, needs help to bear the hefty medical costs, and care for the well-being of his 4 children. He is in despair. They would wish to repatriate back to the Philippines with Ednalyn’s remains.
We sincerely ask for your kind support, a small amount would go a long way to this grief-stricken family, at least another meal for the children, a diaper for baby Caleb, and hopefully a ticket to home.
