I am starting this fundraiser to help Jeremy’s wife with his final expenses. Unfortunately he did not have life insurance.
In the beginning of 2023 Jeremy started having issues eating. Sometimes he would and sometimes he wouldn’t. Eventually it was enough to cause concern and after a few Emergency Room visits in May of 2023 he was sadly diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer.
Throughout all the treatments he still stayed strong. He was granted wishes from Physicians for Wishes and he was extremely grateful for that. He went skydiving and was able to drive a nascar!
Chemotherapy and radiation eventually would shrink the tumor in his esophagus enough that they would attempt surgery to remove it so he could then eat again.
In October of 2024 he would go in for that surgery but on November 2, 2024 he would suffer complications at home from it. He ended up being rushed back to Grand Rapids where he suffered from having a hole in his throat and lung. Which then started the multiple surgeries to try to save his life.
He did end up surviving those multiple surgeries in those 3 following months.
Then on December 28, 2024 he married the love of his life Patricia.
Devastating news came in the middle of February saying his time was limited so Hospice was called and he was able to finally come home to spend time with his wife Patricia and his bestest boy Max.
Jeremy gained his wings on Tuesday February 26, 2025.
