Sierra's Study Abroad Trip

Please help me fulfill my dream of becoming a veterinarian!

I'm currently a full-time student enrolled at Arizona State University and a Barrett Honors College student, where I currently hold a 3.9 GPA. I also work part time as a Wellness Supervisor at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex, so I can save as much as I can.

I recently discovered an amazing opportunity to attend a pre-veterinary focused study abroad trip to Guatemala, Mexico. I have been working extremely hard to find and apply for as many scholarships and grant opportunities that I can. The problem is that I’m running out of time and there are not many scholarships available; so I’m asking for any help you can provide. 

In Guatemala I will have the opportunity to assist in surgeries and many other vital tasks to expand my knowledge and experience in this field. This experience will help me stand out from other graduate school applicants so that I may be accepted into the vet school of my choice.

Ever since I was a little girl I knew that becoming a Veterinarian was my niche and I haven't stopped trying to better my knowledge in caring for animals ever since. I have always had a natural talent working with cats and dogs and helping pets is what I want to do for the rest of my life! 

Please help me accomplish my dreams and give me the opportunity to help the people and animals in Guatemala who don't have the basic needs of medical care that we've grown accustomed to here in America.
