Help pay our mtg while Glenn recovers

Glenn has Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The large 4.5 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm mass they removed from his neck two weeks ago was cancer. The tricky part is that the lymph node that was affected was NOT the primary site. The primary site has not yet been located. As such, he needs to undergo 7 weeks of very painful radiation with some chemo, and 6 to 12 weeks recovery time. During this time, he will not be able to work, and EI illness benefits will only give us about $300 a week for a maximum 15 weeks. We don't know yet if we qualify for drug subsidies, praying we do, because he will be on heavy duty narcotics for most of that time. The good news is, Glenn WILL be fine, provided he receives this treatment. This is one cancer where they do use the word cure at 5 years. However, we are facing a really difficult road ahead for the next 6 or so months. As the radiation will be focused on his throat, a G tube to feed him is a real possibility, as is substantial jaw/dental damage.
I of course don't EXPECT anyone to contribute, it's just not necessary. But if you would like to, I would be so grateful. I have set the goal at $6,000, which is approximately equal to 3 months of our mortgage & house cost of living costs (mortgage insurance, house insurance, etc, etc), and, is, of course, our greatest stressor. To lose the house we love right now would be a big burden.
I promise you, these funds, if you feel inclined to donate, will go directly to our mortgage. In fact, I would be so thrilled if I could simply pay the 3 months up front and not need to watch the calendar to make sure they are met. If we happen to raise more than $6,000, it will go towards our other bills, or specialized food for Glenn once he finds swallowing very difficult. More than that would be used for dental work after the radiation to repair the almost inevitable damage to his teeth.
