Road to the Olympics 07/29-08/3

Hi everyone most of you know that it is an exciting time for Marquis as well as everyone who participates in Youth Track and Field. The excitement is well deserved. He has excelled in academics by making the honor roll all year, as well as being commended on the STAAR test. Marquis will be moving forward to the next level in track & field and needs all the support he can get. He has worked extremely hard and is a great child. This is truly a tremendous accomplishment. By participating in track & field, he's not only being taught the fundamentals of the sport- leadership and sportsmanship, but he's also being taught life lessons. We would like to be able to keep this going.
We are asking you for your support and encouragement to get him to the Junior Olympics in Detroit, Michigan. As you know it takes travel, lodging, and meals for athletes' and they are bottomless pits. We would like you to search your hearts and budgets and sponsor a portion of the next leg of our trip. We do know what times are like now and would appreciate any support you give. We promise to keep you posted on our exciting time and travels as we move on. In addition, I have posted a video of Marquis running the 400m. He is the one in first place :) Thanks in advance.
